It is also possible to adopt column/foundation connection elements such as Column Shoes (like Peikko or equivalent). In some cases, especially when the soil has good mechanical resistance or the structure transmits low loads to the ground, the recommended solution is the use of prefabricated footings, which offer a more advantageous technical and economic alternative.
