Family business and based on its structural values: Competence, Flexibility, Honesty, Innovation, Quality and Rigor the Vigobloco has fulfilled its mission to design produce and assemble prefabricated solutions of concrete, with the intention to contribute to a more sustainable society and cohesive, through a social commitment, environmental and economically responsible.

Having started its activity in 1977, Vigobloco is today leader in Portugal in the manufacture of concrete products for construction.

Our manufacturing site has an area of more than 80.000m2, which means we can develop several projects simultaneously.

Our implemented Quality Management System, which encompasses the design, manufacture, assembly and sale of pre-fabricated concrete products, has been certified, complying with the regulatory requirements of ISO 9001 and the EC Marking.

OUR STORY

1977

Activity beginning with the name of Vigobloco- Vigas e Blocos de Cimento Lda, with the manufacture of beams and concrete blocks, in place of Mata, Urqueira parish, Ourém municipality - Portugal.

1987

Construction of a new production facility in Urqueira - Ourém - Portugal.

It led to an improvement of the productive and working conditions, resulting in significant increases in production rates and quality.

1992

Introduction of new range of products, including structural elements for Building Construction

1994

With the development and modernization of the country's communication routes, VIGOBLOCO expands its business area by starting the production of Bibloco concrete railway sleepers

2002

Change of corporate name and legal nature for VIGOBLOCO - Prefabricated, S.A.

2004

Diversification of activity with the design, manufacture and assembly of prefabricated elements for bridges and viaducts

2007

Vigobloco joins a group of partners in the creation of INDICONSTRÓI in Mozambique

2008

Construction of a new production unit (Vigobloco - Prefabricated Azores, SA) in S. Miguel Island - Azores, as a result of the award of prefabricated elements for SCUT de S. Miguel

2009

Vigobloco joins a group of partners in the creation of the company ALENTUBO - Fabrica de Tubos, SA in Beja - Portugal

2011

Establishment of a partnership in Venezuela in the “Missão Vivenda” project, with the construction of two factories and the manufacture of prefabricated elements for social housing

2013

Partnership established in Nampula - Mozambique for the production of prefabricated elements for the Nacala Corridor

2015

Construction of a new plant: VGB France, SAS, Nevers - France
